"In Stahlgewittern" in Swedish: "I stålstormen"

A Swedish translation of In Stahlgewittern (The Storm of Steel) will be published in October 2008 by the well-reputed publishing company Atlantis Bokförlag in Stockholm. The title is I stålstormen. It will appear in the series "Atlantis chooses from the literary classics of the world", among writers and philosophers like Joyce, Plato, Goethe, Rousseau, Tocqueville, Voltaire, Montaigne, Faulkner, Dostoevsky, Shakespeare, Proust, Heine, Strindberg etc.

The translation is made by Urban Lindström, who has translated Ernst Jünger's short novel Sturm (2006). There is a foreword by the publisher, Peter Luthersson. Hardback, 352 pages.

It should be noticed that this publishing company, Bokförlaget Atlantis, also publishes the series Swedish classics in collaboration with the Swedish Academy, which awards the Nobel Prize. Also of interest is that the historian and member of the Swedish Academy, Peter Englund, has published several books at Atlantis Bokförlag. His next book is about the First World War and will be published shortly: Stridens skönhet och sorg. Första världskriget i 212 korta kapitel (632 pp.)
